About Marathon Man Fishing 2026
Jeff Kolodzinski is a man on a mission – a Marathon Man out to break a record he already holds. Starting at 5:00 pm on August 14 and ending at 5:00 pm on August 15 at Camp Dallas, outside Spring Bay, Illinois, he will attempt to catch as many as 4000 fish on hook and line to break his own record of 2,977 set in 2022. The long-standing fishing industry charity event began in 2006, and this year’s is set to be the biggest yet!
About Camp Dallas, A Camp with a Deeper Reason
We didn’t start Camp Dallas because we love campfires and kayaks.
We started it because we lost someone we loved. Dallas was a thoughtful, curious, beautiful soul who left this world too soon.
His parents, still holding the weight of that loss, chose to carry his name forward—not just in memory, but in motion.
This isn’t just a tribute.
It’s a place.
A space.
Some have pledged $.10 per fish, $.25 per fish, or just flat gifts – $25 to $100 seems to be the most common.
